We depart in 3 hours!

The last week has been a whirlwind of activity around here. All three of us are wrapping up our school work (my wife and I are teachers and our son is a 4th grader) and there are countless things that needed to be finalized in the trailer and around the house. The logistics of a month-long trip can be daunting.

Here are photos of some of the work we’ve done on the Airstream recently.

I spray painted the propane tanks. They now compliment the exterior.

I sanded and primed the front of the frame. This is where the propane tanks sit.

Here are the tanks installed and the frame topcoated.

We’ll knock 5 or 6 hours off our journey tonight. I’m guessing we’ll stay at a truck stop or Wal-Mart somewhere in Pennsylvania.

My plan is to blog as often as I can. Remember, you can follow my son Jackson on Instagram at Jacksonjets or me at JackNewHaven.

Wish us luck!
