About

Welcome to my blog!

I think it’s rather presumptuous of me to assume that anyone would be interested in what I have to say. I’m doing this blog because I have been the beneficiary of other people’s blogs and maybe someone will find this interesting or helpful.

My plan is to focus on my family’s 1972 Airstream Trailer. I hope to write about renovations we’ve already done and those we hope to do in the future. I also imagine writing about our travels, including our upcoming trip in July, 2013 to the Blacks Hills of South Dakota.

That’s it for now.

See you on down the road.

Jack

  1. Jack, I find your blog very interesting. We are the proud new owners of a 1972 Ambassador. It appears that you have done some of the task that I need to do. I guess the first will be the running gear, axles and brakes. Any words of wisdom and thoughts will greatly be welcome. Thanks – Dave G

    • Dave, Thanks for saying “hello”. Words of advice? – read, research and go for it! I would also suggest that you break the projects up into chunks. In other words, do the running gear, then the appliances, then decorating, (in any order) so that you can use the trailer. It took me four summers working on the camper to get it ready for our first cross country trip, we’ve now made two, but we camped in it the very first year! I couldn’t imagine having it and not being able to use it.

      Where do you live?
